About This Guide

What this site is

This is an independent verification guide about one specific viral claim: that you can unlock TikTok's new profile banner by installing a modded APK. We take the claim apart using public evidence — the app's actual behavior, public code, and TikTok's own rollout mechanics — and tell you what's true and what isn't.

How we work

We check viral tech claims against things anyone can verify: public source code, official app behavior, and documented platform mechanics. When something is real, we say so and show the limits. When it's bait, we show the playbook. We don't deal in rumors, and we don't repeat a claim just because it's popular.

What we're not

We're not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance. We're not affiliated with any mod, module, or download site. We don't host downloads, we don't link to mod APKs, and we don't earn anything from the sites we warn you about. If a claim we checked turns out to be wrong, tell us in the comments — corrections are part of the job.

Why this topic

The TikTok banner rollout created a perfect bait market: a desirable feature, a slow rollout, and millions of people searching for a shortcut. That's exactly the kind of story worth checking carefully, because the cost of believing it — malware, stolen accounts, banned profiles — is real.
